REGIONAL STUDENT COUNCIL CONFERENCES |
Purpose Regional Student Council Conferences are held in the fall of each year. These conferences provide an exciting and empowering day that gives student leaders and sponsors from around the area a chance to share successes and challenges, exchange ideas, and hear an outstanding motivational speaker.
Who Attends Regional Conferences Regional Conferences are intended to motivate and rejuvenate student council leaders and sponsor as they begin a new school year. The keynote speaker for the day provides empowerment for the student leaders and advisors. Additionally, advisors have the opportunity to participate in an advisor's workshop and network with other advisors around the state.
Conference Sites, Dates and Fees Eight Regional Conferences are held each year. The hosts are rotated on a bi-yearly basis, as we attempt to cover the entire state of Kansas. The eight regional conferences take place during the end of September and the beginning of October. Delegates can attend any conference that best fits their schedule. Fees are $10.00 per student delegate; there is no fee for advisors attending.
How to Register Mail the registration form (with fees), two weeks in advance to the host school. Schools are limited to fifteen delegates per school. However, schools may be granted permission from conference hosts to send more delegates.
