| "Somehow I can't believe that there are any heights that can't be scaled by a man who knows the secrets of making dreams come true. This special secret, it seems to me, can be summarized in four Cs. They are curiosity, confidence, courage, and constancy, and the greatest of all is confidence. When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionably." |

As a member school of the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA), school student councils are also members of the Kansas Student Council Association (KSCA).
The KSCA, under the auspices of the KSHSAA, is designed to encourage the development of high school and junior high/middle school student councils in Kansas. This organization provides training and development of leadership skills for high school and junior high/middle school student leaders. Students develop and are taught to apply leadership and life skills. In addition, KSCA provides advisors with the opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences.
KSCA promotes programs that educate, inspire and direct members into a variety of leadership opportunities throughout life. These goals are accomplished by disseminating information for building effective organizations; recognizing individual and school achievements; promoting community service; providing positive, enthusiastic forums for networking and sharing ideas; and serving as a liaison to the National Association of Student Councils (NASC), which is under the direction of the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).
